The Student Volunteer Movement for Foreign Missions was an organization that sought to recruit college and university students in the United States for missionary service. In 1959, the Student Volunteer Movement, the United Student Christian Council, and the Interseminary Committee merged to form the National Student Christian Federation. |

Historical Sketch
The Student Volunteer Movement was established in 1886. It became the Commission on World Mission
